Arrow Question on Flame Spitter?

Why is it that the Flame Spitter is all over the Auction Section?
From what I remember the Collector that has the Flame Spitter
is still in the game? I've seen a few in the Auction section that
is up to/from 2k-all the way to 10k. Why is that?

The -50 health item is still in the game, yet I manage to sell them for 10k a piece. The quest is long and people are lazy. Same with collectors items I suppose.

Though, if someone were selling a 15% flame spitter, that would go for a lot of money.

I guess people are lazy.
but the flame spitter's I've seen on the
auctions are clean. They have no mods
on them.

15% FFS doesn't exsist anymore. Apparently when the description was updated all 15% became 10%

People buy FFS from the auctions because going to find the collector can be tedius since the collector spawns randomly.

That and possibly in part because his appearance is somewhat random, people frequently babble that the collector has been removed, since some people believe he doesn't exist anymore, they are probably willing to pay a little bit for one.

Untrue. Just because there are so few, and noone can confirm this because only a handfull of people still have this item, doesn't mean it doesn't excist anymore. This is just something someone came up with because it's so damn rare. It still excists.

I am sure some people have been having problems finding the collector but he has been there for me each and every time I went after him.

I can definately see the different in paying for the -50 item for those who don't have any more slots or don't want to go all through the quest. But the FFS (clean) cracks me up to see it being sold.

If anyone wants one let me know I'll give you one for free.

I've been selling them in Augury for 1k each, though i haven't sold many. (I figgured 1k was fair, since most of the collectors items sell for around that much) I can't believe people are auctioning them for so much more. :P

There's another thread about this weapon somewhere (search is currently disabled) and i'm pretty certain it was decided it has nothing to do with favor.

He's located in pockmark flats, directly east of the middle of the Fort Ranik shield. =)
